Our Team
The all-volunteer board of Bushlife Conservancy does not receive any monetary benefit for their hours of committed service, and they pay 100 percent of their travel costs when they visit Mana Pools.
Nick Murray, President
Harare, Zimbabwe
“With the hard effort we’ve put in with Zimparks rangers, we haven’t had an elephant killed by poachers in Mana Pools since 2019. We are proud of what we’ve done and the impact it has had. It’s been far greater than I thought we would be able to achieve.”
Nick is a world-renowned conservationist and wildlife authority. He guided a BBC film crew and Sir David Attenborough himself for a documentary on African painted dogs in 2018. In 2021, he guided another crew for Attenborough’s Green Planet series. He’s also guided film crews for wildlife and conservation documentaries aired on National Geographic, Netflix, and Disney.
Nick and his wife, Desiree, have two children, Jed and Tait. Jed is following in his father’s footsteps, currently studying wildlife conservation at university.
